and she sees how happiness hides in the humdrum, how it abides in the everyday toing and froing as though happiness were a thing that should not be seen, as though it were a note that cannot be heared untill it sounds from the past.
This was a really impressive novel, the way this civil war and the facist government are always there in the background and Eilish tries to hold her family in this crisis. The writingstyle with the dialogues not with "" but written as a description made me more distant, but that is a good thing for this novel I think. The ending is so terrifying!
